Job Description

Website Content Specialist & Manager 

At 8bitcreative/Detailers Roadmap, ranked #301 on the 2024 Inc 5000 list of fastest-growing privately held companies, we are seeking Website Sites Manager and Content Specialist to assist our client design requests. Someone with a with a keen eye for Quality Assurance and Consistency.


This is not a people management position; it is a position for updating & managing client websites.


Job Type: Full-time


Work Location: We are hybrid team with a 3-day in-office structure, 2 day at-home/remote. Our office is currently located in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This does require

What Type of Person is Best for this Role?

This role is for you if:

  • You enjoy visual proofreading to inspect each page of the website for layout or design inconsistencies. You enjoy finding things you can do to make experiences better for the end users.
  • You tend to be a 'people pleaser' and like to make design and development decisions to benefit the website
  • Like working on a variety of website designs. Our website content editor sees 25-35 sites a week, depending on requests.
  • Enjoy large daily design requests from a multitude of customers (pop-ups, banners, editing visuals, new widgets, imagery additions)
  • Work closely with the marketing and design teams to relay issues and suggest fixes
  • Quality assurance and consistency is your bread and butter


This position is not ideal for you:

  • If client interaction is a problem, this may not be a fit. On average, our content editing team reaches out to our clients 1-2 times a week for clarifications on design requests.
  • If feedback can't be taken constructively. Some clients may not love the first revision edit, but feedback makes the vision come true. Although this is rare in our company, it's part of design roles.



Description

Primary Role & Responsibilities

  • Build, launch, and maintain websites using our CMS platform.
  • Work with the account managers and customers in their website revision rounds
  • Daily content updates for blogs, pages, packages and pricing across our customer notification system
  • Collaborates with marketing and communications team with ideas for creative strategies, and web design/layout to support marketing campaigns and storytelling of 8bit creative initiatives.
  • After fixing any issues discovered during previous testing phases, perform regression testing to ensure that new changes haven't introduced new problems
  • Daily updates for current customers on change requests and updates to the website
  • Ensure websites are optimized for speed and performance
  • Ensure websites are compatible with various web browsers and mobile devices
  • Keep up to date with the latest web development trends and technologies
  • Work with our marketing team to ensure proper SEO implementation



Qualifications & Requirements

  • In-office attendance Tuesday through Thursday in our Brookfield, Wisconsin office
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience building and launching websites using our CMS (Duda, Drag n Drop)
  • Experience with basic principles of website launch such as domain settings
  • Experience with responsive design and optimization for speed and performance
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development or related field is a plus
